A Cursillo Three Day Weekend is a very special time of encountering Jesus Christ in a community of love.
But, Cursillo is not just a weekend -- Cursillo has Four Days !
After the 3-day weekend you enter your "Fourth Day" which lasts for the rest of your life.
As you continue in the life of grace, and seek ways to be an effective apostles for Christ among the people you know, you will be supported by some of the key thoughts expressed during the Three Day weekend and by other Cursillistas.
Group Reunion
You will be invited to join a Group Reunion, a small group of people who meet on a regular basis to pray together, to share their experiences, their joys and sorrows and to support each other as active Christians in their own environments.
Ultreya
You will be invited to Ultreyas - larger gatherings where Cursillistas join in worship and sharing their lives and the love of God.
Spiritual Direction
Spiritual direction is an important element of the Cursillo movement. It is a commitment to seek out a skilled lay or clergy person to provide help as you seek to deepen your relationship with Christ.
Cursillo Weekends
You may be invited to join a team or to help with a weekend in other ways, to help others develop a deeper knowledge of God and his love for us.
God has a purpose for every life, for every Fourth Day, a purpose he is working to accomplish in you, and through you in others, and the continuing support and love that is offered by members of your Group Reunion and by other Cursillistas is there to help you achieve God's purpose.
"The Foundational Charism"
During his farewell speech at the April Ultreya Bishop John Noble referred to an article by the late Eduardo Bonnin, one of the founders of the Cursillo Movement, which should be read by all Cursillistas. It is called "The Foundational Charism" and it explains in a simple and straightforward way the essence of Cursillo.
